Does therapy sound scary to you? Would you like to have better relationships? There is always hope and my help is available. My calm and friendly demeanor puts people at ease and promotes a safe and nurturing counseling environment. I chose this second career to help people navigate through the obstacles and pain in their life. My comforting and supportive style helps instill hope, peace, and spirituality. I have the life experiences plus a Doctorate Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy to help you discover the needed tools for your personal relationship toolbox.
I enjoy working with individuals, couples, and families on the following issues: Marital and relationship concerns, communication issues, PTSD, depression, anxiety, difficulty dealing with life transitions, career issues, job stress, divorce recovery, grief and loss, healthy relationship skills, and finding that deeper sense of meaning and purpose in your life. I successfully managed companies with 50 - 200 employees for over 20 years prior to entering this second career. I have had the pleasure to parent three step-children, three foreign exchange children and seventeen teen-age foster children. Please call and begin the healing process right away.

Do you have losses that are causing pain? Losing a loved one, a relationship, a job, a home, a sense of self, a dream or good health brings a variety of challenging feelings. I can help. I provide a welcoming, warm and safe environment where you can process your feelings and begin to move forward.
I have experience in working with grief issues, relationships, esteem problems, and interpersonal communication skills. I follow a cognitive perspective and find that problems often arise from the way we react to and think about our circumstances. I believe transforming our perspective, beliefs and feelings is possible and can lead to greater health and wholeness.
Welcome and congratulations on taking the first step toward gaining essential tools to help you during life's challenging breakdowns. I am here to help you build an amazing set of "tools" to use when you have to navigate through rough terrain in your life. I am particularly passionate about working with you surrounding addiction issues of yours or a loved one.
