Rates & Insurance

Rates
Rates vary per therapist or coach and should be personally addressed with them in the initial phone consultation. Rates are normally based on a 50-minute session (ask your therapist or coach). Longer sessions may be advantageous in some circumstances and are prorated accordingly. Some individual therapists are able to accept insurance and some may not be able to accept your insurance. This should be addressed prior to your first session. The client is responsible for the full session fee if the insurance is later denied or the therapist is notified that the client has not met their deductible or for any other reason the insurance company does not pay. Do not assume that your therapist or coach will be paid by insurance.

Super bills or receipts may be periodically requested for reimbursement for sessions paid by the client.

Insurance
Services may be covered in full or in part by your health insurance or employee benefit plan. It is the client's responsibility to know the coverage for Mental Health and guarantees the payment. Please check your coverage carefully by asking the following questions:

  • What are my mental health benefits?
  • Do I have to pay a deductible before benefits kick in?
  • Do I have to pay a co-pay per session?
  • How many sessions does my plan cover?
  • Is pre-approval required?
  • Can I get reimbursed if my therapist or coach doesn't take insurance?
  • What paperwork do I need to submit for reimbursement if my therapist or coach doesn't take insurance?

Reduced Fee
Reduced fee services may be available on a limited basis with proof of need. This varies by therapist.

Payment
Cash or check for all therapists and some therapists accept debit and major credit cards as accepted forms of payment.

Cancellation Policy
Check with your therapist or coach for their policy on cancellations or missed sessions. If you do not show up for your scheduled therapy appointment, and you have not notified us at least 24 hours in advance, you will be required to pay a portion or the full cost of the session. Insurance companies cannot be billed for sessions when the client cancels or does not show up. The therapists make their living and pay their bills from the revenue created by the session fee. It is unfair to the therapist when a no-show or late cancellation causes lost income. Please be understanding.
